Laura + Jamie

Laura and Jamie’s wedding can be summarized in three words, original, elegant and completely uncomplicated! This couple made sure their special event was celebrated in a way that truly reflects them. A simple moving ceremony with close friends and family on Friday afternoon followed by a gourmet dinner in eclectic Kensington Market. Then on Saturday they showed off their socially conscious side by holding their reception at the 519 Community Centre which not only serves as a great venue but benefits the community as well. They then showed off their wild side by kicking off an amazing party. There is no doubt these two are going to have an adventurous life together!

Congrats Laura and Jamie and thank you for letting us be a part of it!

Meaghan + Keith

We are really looking forward to the 2012 season in be in full swing and as we were reflecting on our 2011 highlights a certain couple and wedding came to mind…. Meaghan and Keith! On a warm day in October, this lovely couple exchanged vows and celebrated with their friends and family. Every detail was perfect. From the very unique “cake” to the dancing shoes that were provided for all the ladies, Meaghan and Keith truly thought of everything. They even made their own personalized, jarred preserves for all their guest to take home.

We were so happy to be a part of their wedding and get the opportunity to capture the beauty of this special day.

Claudia + Jason

On a perfect day in September, Claudia and Jason tied the knot! With a stunning bride, a handsome groom, a gorgeous location and the most adorable dog Snoopy, how could this day be anything but perfection. With winter upon us and snow just around the corner, we thought it would be a perfect time to post the photos from this wedding and although they can’t change the temperature outside they are guaranteed to warm your heart. Nina’s Incredible Trash the Dress Shoot

All I can say is that Nina is our hero! Not only was she willing to put on her wedding dress again, get it filthy, go in the water (on the COLDEST day) but it was all HER idea. So Nina, we thank you for that! Not many brides choose to do a shoot as fun and as exciting as the one we did with you. I can honestly say that Rima and I had an incredible time with you and Mike, whether it was your engagement shoot, your wedding or the trash the dress shoot.

Looking at the pictures you might assume that it was beautiful balmy day out but don’t be fooled by Nina’s super hero bravery and our awesome editing skills, it was a bitterly cold day. This photo of Rima dressed like she’s on a polar expedition explains it all.

Julie & Greg’s Enchanted Engagement Shoot

On the most perfect day in October, nestled in the middle of a chilly week we headed out to a seemingly enchanted forest for Julie’s and Greg’s engagement photos. Everything about it was perfect, from the balmy temperatures to the ethereal golden sunlight lighting up the yellow leaves to the gorgeous adorable couple. Julie and Greg were a photographer’s dream! They were fun and adventurous and willing to sit, climb and trudge through just about anything to get photos that really represent them as a couple. Their beautiful country wedding promises much more of the same and we’re looking forward to it!

Introducing Olivia

Olivia! The cutest, sweetest and the most lovable subject we’ve recently had the pleasure to photograph. Lucky for us, Olivia came fully prepared for her big debut with a variety of hair accessories, outfits and props. She laughed, she cried and most importantly she struck many a pose, all of them adorable. A true model in the making, just like her parents who are pretty much experts when it comes to shoots with Parasol Photo, since we’ve captured their engagement, wedding and pregnancy photos. Thank you Elena and Carl for letting us be a part of all the significant moments in your life. We had a great time with this new bundle of joy and look forward to capturing more special events for this family.

Pazit + Astur

Exquisite! That is truly the only word that can describe Pazit & Astur’s wedding day. The dress, the food, the decor, the music and everything in between was an absolute stunner. Even the sun made an appearance that day just in the nick of time. Maybe the only part that was missing from the BIG celebration, and I’m sure Pazit will agree, was Angel (the beloved family dog). If the wedding day gives us just a glimpse into their future, then they’re guaranteed an equally exquisite life together. Congratulations!

Nisha & David

We knew right after their engagement shoot that Nisha and David were a fun and adventurous couple. They were willing to do almost anything to get the right shot including climbing under “caution” signs and up rusty old ladders. Their sense of adventure was certainly reflected in their friends and family who danced up a storm all night long on the dance floor. The ceremony was beautiful and the bride and groom even more so! In fact, David said he was feeling a lot like Aladdin in his dashing outfit and we say, if he’s Aladdin, Nisha makes the most beautiful Princess Jasmin which puts the Disney version to shame. Julie & Philip

Julie and Philips’s wedding was one filled with faith, love, adventure and a little tresspassing…The day started out just right with a group of groomsmen willing to brave anything to get the best shots! This included trespassing (just a little) onto a farmers field and climbing onto the John Deer that was parked there. It was so worth it! Willing subjects like that are a wedding photographer’s dream! Thanks guys!

The day only got better from there. Seeing Julie looking like the perfect elegant classic bride and meeting her lovely family followed by a beautiful outdoor ceremony on the breathtaking grounds of Fantasy Farm in Toronto. Julie and Philip’s love for each other and committment to their faith is a recipe for definate success and we look forward working with them again one day in their certainly happy future!
